This Volkswagen Beetle is unique. Much faster than the original, and yet it makes no sound... How is this possible? This Beetle was reconstructed from scratch in 2012 and converted to an electric by Rebbl.com. Approved by the RDW (Dutch Vehicle Authority) in December 2012 and given an electric vehicle registration. As much as 35kWh worth of lithium batteries, a range of 200 km is very feasible. High-quality battery management by Orion for long life. The 2 Elcon chargers add about 30 km range per hour. There is room for a third charger. The electric Kostov engine is air-cooled and is directly mounted onto the gearbox. Above it there’s a powerful Soliton 1 controller which gives the car much torque. Most cars can’t keep up with this Beetle at traffic lights. The top speed is about 170 km/h. The Beetle has driven almost 50,000 km since the conversion to electric. The outside was repainted in 2016, the interior was renewed and the dashboard repainted in July 2017. An electric heater has been added allowing the car to warm up directly from the inside. This Beetle is great for everyday commuting. A very suitable eye-catcher for business promotional purposes.
