Märklin H0 - 3016/4018 - Railbus VT795 “Uerdinger schienenbus” with trailer of the DB Analogue. Large rail: The VT95 series and the VT98-series diesel trains have been developed and built by the wagon factory Uerdingen. In 1950 there were 12 of these motor cars (prototypes of the VT95) in use by the DB. 11 motor cars had an axle distance of 4.50 metres and were given an entry level door on both sides. The 12th had 2 entry doors on both sides and an axis distance of 6 meters. The company numbers of these prototypes were for the first eleven motor cars VT95 901 – 911. The 12th motor car got company number VT95 912 which was renumbered to VT95 9112 shortly afterwards. Most rail buses were built by the wagon factory Uerdingen itself, however due to the large number of orders others were built by MAN and by Waggon und Maschienenbau GmbH Donauwörth. VT95 series (starting from 1968 BR 795): From 1952 in total 577 one-engine vehicles of the series VT95.9 and 564 trailers were delivered to DB. In 1956 there were another 15 pieces delivered to the Saarlander Eisenbahn. The motor drive on one axle and the engine power proved not always sufficient, and therefore in 1952 already three two-engined vehicles were built that were otherwise identical to the VT95. The VT95 has 57 seats. The VT95 was built in the period 1950-1958. The last schienenbus of the series VT95 was in 1983 set aside by DB. VT98 series (from 1968 BR 798): The one-engine version (VT95) proved to weak for many routes. So the two-engine version (VT98.9) was developed The VT98 has an engine power of 2 x 150 PK and reaches a maximum speed of 90 km/h. From 1955 there were a total of 332 motor cars (VT) of the series VT98 built and delivered. There were also 100 trailers without luggage space and 220 with luggage space (VB98) as well as steering cars (VS98) ordered and delivered. The VT98 has 56 + 2 seats. The VT98 was built in 1953 and in the period 1955-1962. The last schienenbus of the series VT98 was in 2000 set aside by DB.
