Award winning Opel GT ( modified ) imported from California to England in 1998 by Steve Thompson of Lichfield and Walsall, son of one of the original importers of GTs to Britain. As well as a bare metal rebuild of the body, the engine was also rebuilt. The modifications included; fuel injection system, electronically operated windows plus rear heated window, Manta GTE brakes. It has a factory fitted towbar to pull luggage trailer.It wasalso fitted with ( Geschmeidet 1000 ) Opel Kadett rally wheels from 1974.(only 1000 sets made). Grey leather seats with pneumatic lumbar support(drivers side). It has a vintage radio/cassette with modern speaker system and electronic aerial .Rear vented windows, sports steering wheel, Opel GT mats and mudflaps. It was then purchased by a former marketing manager of Vauxhall, who successfully won awards at Opel GT rallys around Britain. He sold it to current owner in 2006 and I imported it to Ireland (where it is still registered). Moved to Holland in 2007 and brought the car with in 2009. The engine overheated resulting in a blown head gasket. The engine was rebuilt again and enlarged the radiator. The car has been in storage since 2010 with no mileage on the rebuilt engine. Recent rubber hose. Replacement, new battery and checkover by Bosch Garage. The GT comes complete with workshop manuals Electric schematics, many rare books and articles plus its awards and bits and pieces. Bodywork has some very small areas of rust and the paint job is 21 years old. Car is located in Meerssen, Netherlands
